The Lagos State Police Command has recovered 15 allegedly stolen vehicles from a suspected three-man armed robbery syndicate, its spokesman, SP Joseph Jaiyeoba, said on Monday.
Jaiyeoba confirmed to newsmen in Lagos that the recoveries were made within February and the suspects had made useful information to the police.
He said that the vehicles were recovered by operatives from the Command's Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), in Edo, Delta and Lagos States, as well as the FCT.
The spokesman said that the squad also recovered some arms and ammunition from the suspected robbers.
Jaiyeoba listed the recovered vehicles to include Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Toyota Corolla.
He said that as soon as investigations were concluded, the suspects would be charged to court.
Jaiyeoba called on members of the public to put modern security gadgets in their vehicles to safeguard them and reduce the risk of theft.
