The Fulani community in Maikwari, Kwali area council has called on the chairman of the council, Joseph Shazin to put up basic amenities in the community.
Speaking through their representatives at an interactive session with the chairman, the community asked that more boreholes be sunk in the area as the people have to travel far distances to get potable water.
The community also asked the chairman to make for provision of health facilities in the area adding that this was important considering the distance to other communities to get health care services.
In a response, the chairman who reiterated that the reason for his visit was to know the problems of the people which will help him provide solutions said measures had been put in place to cater for the various needs of the community.
Kwali also revealed that apart from the provision of necessary infrastructure, his administration was prepared to champion peace in the council adding that the council was to embark on a religious conference which will bring together everybody from different religious to talk and preach about peace.
Earlier, the chairman visited the Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA) church in Koroko, Kwali area council, where he worshipped with the people of the area.
