The Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) has urged governments, corporate bodies and individuals to patronise its services, including cargo delivery, for safety and efficiency.
The Territorial Marketing Manager of NIPOST in Enugu, Mrs Nkiru Onaga, made the call on Saturday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the ongoing 23rd Enugu International Trade Fair.
Onagasaid the service was at the fair to showcase its numerous services, including cargo, courier, shipment and stamp duty to the public.
“We are here to create awareness on our numerous products because the new NIPOST is now up and doing.
“We have introduced new services, especially the cargo and the post cash whereby we send money to all parts of the country, especially the rural areas, without delay.
“For the shipment, we ship African foodstuff abroad and bring home goods from abroad and we guarantee safe and prompt delivery,’’ she said.
The marketing manager assured the customers of NIPOST that the social media and internet services were no big threat to it as such services were not in most parts of the country.
“People cannot do without postal services because you cannot find internet in most parts of the country,’’ Onaga said.
She urged Nigerians to patronise NIPOST as its services had improved tremendously.
