The Senate Committee on Aviation will tomorrow begin a three-day public hearing on the violation of aviation laws and practice by foreign airlines and lapses in the operations of the regulatory agencies.
The public hearing will discuss issues bordering on the air fare tariff of some foreign airlines from Nigeria to Europe neighbouring countries. The issue of fixing air prices through arbitrary passengers fuel surcharge (PFS) will also be discussed at the public hearing.
A statement signed by the clerk of the committee, Aborisade Victor, said that the public hearing was in pursuant to the Senate’s resolution of Wednesday 28, March 2012.
Interested stakeholders, parties and the general public are invited to attend the hearing.
Earlier, the Chairman, Senate? Committee on Aviation, Senator Hope Uzodimma has assured Nigerians that the Committee will do a thorough job without fear or favour and make appropriate recommendations to the Senate.
