Steve Onu,
popularly known as Yaw, is Wazobia FM’s on-air personality, he anchors
the ‘Make Una Wake’ morning show. Yaw started out as actor and his
first role was a 1994 cameo in the movie, ‘Rituals’. In 1998, he got
his first speaking role in the movie ‘Diamond Ring’ before moving on to
stage plays and television soaps. He starred in Wole Soyinka’s ‘Lion
and the Jewel’ and as Brutus in Shakespeare’s ‘Julius Caesar’.
He also
appeared in ‘Flat Mates’, ‘Twilight Zone’, ‘Fuji House of Commotion’,
‘Extended Family’, ‘Dear Mother’ as well as the BBC award winning radio
drama series ‘Story Story: Voices from the Market’. The Lagos State
University theatre arts graduate is currently working on the third
season of his yearly stage play due in April.
