The T Y Danjuma Foundation will commence the training of about 200 ex-corps members whose proposal meet its requirement on agros-business today.
The federal government through the Ministry of Youth Development signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the TY Danjuma Foundation on agro-business grant worth over two million naira.
Briefing the minister of Youth Development, Mr. Inuwa Abdul-Kadir, in his office, the executive director and chief executive officer of the Foundation, Ms Thelma Ekiyor, stated that the pilot project will commence in Abuja today where about 200 selected youth will be trained on agro-businesses and means of using the fund that would be given after the training.
Responding, the minister praised the Foundation and urged other well meaning Nigerians to follow suit.
Inuwa said: “Your efforts in making contribution to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as a Foundation is commendable. It would propel others to do the same which will mean a departure from what we created which is now compounding our problem.”
The minister assured the Foundation of his total support.
