The Depot Nigerian Army, Zaria, has urged the public not to panic by its range classification exercise scheduled to hold from June 11 to June 15. ?
This is contained in a release signed by the Army Public Relations Officer, Depot Nigerian Army, Lt. Ibrahim Abdullahi, in Zaria on Saturday. ?
It said the exercise would take place at the “Depot Nigerian Army Range” located on Zaria-Kano expressway at Tahu village from 6a.m. to 6p.m., daily. ?
According to the release, the range classification will involve firing of live ammunition using small arms. ?
It advised the public, especially residents of the area, not to panic on hearing small arms fire and movement of troops and military materiel during the exercise. ?
The release described it as a routine military exercise and assured that all safety measures and precautions were put in place to ensure a safe and hitch-free exercise. (NAN)
