A total of? 390 slots have been allocated to intending pilgrims from Ondo State for this year’s holy pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina.
The Secretary of Ondo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Raji Yusuf,?? told the News Agency of? Nigeria (NAN) on Friday that this year’s figure fell short of? the 495 slots the board got last year
He also said the? Saudi Government allocated a total of? 95, 000 slots to Nigerians wishing to perform the Hajj this year.
This figure, he said,? also fell short of? the 99, 000 slots allocated to Nigerian Muslims last year
Yusuf, however, noted that the? slots allocated to the state was not for indigenes alone, adding that? all residents interested could benefit.
The secretary said screening for intending pilgrims would commence within two weeks. (NAN)
