The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is to commence an International Helicopter Training School in Enugu, which is going to be the first of its kind in the whole of the West Africa sub-region state next month, Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Umar Dikko has disclosed.
He made the disclosure in Kaduna at the combined graduation ceremony of students of Administration, Air Police ,Music , Physical Education and Regiment at 325 Ground Training Group, Nigeria Air Force in Kaduna.
Represented by the Air Secretary, Air Vice Marshal John C Ifemeje, the Air Chief further stated that, all the facilities for the take off of the school are already on ground alongside the personnel that will be in charge of various responsibilities.
Dikko noted however, that the case of inadequate instructors which is the major challenge of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) as pointed out by the Commander 325 BSG will be addressed.
He explained that most of the instructors that are supposed to be on ground are on internal security operation, which is why there is shortage of instructors.
He tasked the graduates to uphold the standard of discipline and contribute their quota by working hard.
