The Rivers State Police Command said it was working hard to arrest?those behind the murder of three young men in Elechi Beach Area of Port Harcourt city.
Mr Ben Ugwuegbulam, the spokesman of the command, made this known in Port Harcourt on Monday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
The three men were killed on Aug.10 during a clash between two rival cult groups.
Ugwuegbulam said??the bodies of the?victims had been recovered and that the investigation was ongoing.
He said the police had responded swiftly to stop the fight and minimised the casualty figure.
“The command will not tolerate murder and the investigation is yielding positive result; the long arm of the law will catch up with them,” Ugwuegbulam said.
NAN recalls that about four persons were killed in June during a similar clash between two rival cult groups in Marine Base Area of Port Harcourt. (NAN)
