Petrol scarcity which hit Dutse, Jigawa, about seven days ago has eased as many of the petrol stations now have the product.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the long queues of vehicles at the petrol stations have disappeared.
Mr Sama’ila Limawa, a bus driver, said that the new development had eased the difficulties experienced by the residents.
Limawa commended the NNPC for the quick response to the scarcity.
Alhaji Mukhtar Ishaq, the NNPC Retail Manager in Dutse, said that the station now had adequate fuel in stock to meet the local demand.
“Presently, we have more than 60, 000 litres of petrol and kerosene.
“NNPC supplies two trucks of petrol to the station on daily basis,” Ishaq said.
NAN recalled that petrol was sold for up to N200 per litre in Dutse due to scarcity of the product in the last seven days. (NAN)
