The Public Affairs Manager of Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) in Osogbo, Mr Timothy Adesanya, has denied the alleged drop in electricity supply in the metropolis.
Adesanya told?the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday that?the complaints by some residents of acute drop in power supply in the recent time was not true.
“There is no ?iota of truth in that report of a drop in electricity supply in Osogbo to the best of my knowledge. Osogbo, more than any other area in the state, has a fair share of electricity.
“We have been working round ?the clock to ensure a constant supply of electricity in the town and its environs, whoever is saying that there is a drop in the supply, is not being fair to us.
“Even, when there was little problem about two?weeks back, a minor fault that affected Ogo-Oluwa Area and Ilesa Road, we quickly swing into action and rectified it,’’ he said.
The PHCN?image maker implored?the teeming customers of the company not to misuse the adequate?supply of the power and try as much as possible to preserve ?it.
“I am appealing to our teeming customers to continue making good use of the electricity supply at all time, they should not misuse it because there are many other people that are in dire need of it.
“They should also?try as much as possible to reciprocate the good gesture of the company by settling their bills as at when due to avoid being disconnected.’’
He?said although the issue of vandals was not that pronounced in the state, “I will still advise the people to be always vigilant and report any act of vandalism of the PHCN property to security agents because it is our collective property.’’ (NAN)
