Sheila, widow of late Dr Tai Solarin, is dead. She died at the Babcock University Hospital, Ilisan, Ogun State, yesterday afternoon. She was 83.
Sheila, the co-founder of a foremost private school in Ogun State, Mayflower School, was said to have fallen on her way to bed some months ago and was rushed to the hospital.
A family source told LEADERSHIP that she had undergone surgery few weeks ago, which the doctors certified to be successful, but which developed complications few days later.
The source confirmed that her two children were by her hospital bedside when she died.
Her remains have been taken to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital morgue.

Eminent Nigerians have been condoling with family of the Solarins. First was the Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun who met and consoled members of the family. Others were former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Gbenga Daniel, the Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Adegbenga Kaka, her niece-in-law, Mrs. Alake Sobo, and founder, Tai Solarin Hospital, Lagos, Dr. Wale Omole.
