The All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) has announced the expulsion of Hon. Yahaya Isa as member of the party in Bwari Area Council and by extension as member, Board of Trustees (BOT) of the party.
In a letter signed by the chairman of the Kuduru Ward of the party, Dikko? Bawazeyi, dated October 18, 2012 and addressed? to Hon. Yahaya Isa, announcing his expulsion, the party alleged that Isa was? involved in anti-party activities, stressing that he has been romancing with other political parties such? as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and the Action Congress of?? Nigerian (ACN).
Another allegation? against? Isa is? that he continues to engage?? himself? in a? campaign of calumny? all in bid to tarnish the image of “our great? party and bring it to disrepute”.
This, according to the letter, is punishable by suspension or expulsion according to the party’s constitution
Part of the letter reads, “We the executive committee of the? ANPP, Kuduru ward of Bwari Area Council, today? write to inform?? you that? you, Hon. Yahaya Isa,? have been? expelled from? the party in the ward? with? immediate? effect after consultations and considerations,” it? said.
In an interview with journalists, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the party in Bwari Area Council, Hon. Shuaibu Musa Rabe, who confirmed? the expulsion, said that the party would not tolerate indiscipline. He further said anti-party activities was a grievous offence and anybody involved in such an offence would be dealt with.
He noted that Isa had been the party’s chairmanship candidate in Bwari Area? Council? for? the past 12 years and that the party had not made any headway in all that time.
According to him, the party had now found a saleable candidate in the person of Hon. Ibrahim Musa Jatau who, he said, had been winning elections in Bwari Area Council to represent Kuduru ward for the past 12 years, and doing well for the people since he became councillor.
