The stage is now set for a legal battle against the victory of the incumbent Ondo State governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko at the October 20 governorship election, as candidates of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, and the Accord Party (AP), Mr James Olawale, have approached the election tribunal for the nullification of the victory.
The ACN yesterday filed a 403-page petition at the Governorship Election Tribunal in Akure against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Dr Rahman Olusegun Mimiko and the ruling Labour Party (LP).
