South African President Jacob Zuma on Sunday visited former President Nelson Mandela in hospital.
Zuma expressed satisfaction on the condition of Mandela after the visit, describing it as “comfortable and in good care.’’
Presidential Spokesperson Mac Maharaj said in a statement that Mandela was admitted to the hospital in Pretoria on Saturday for medical attention.
He said Zuma visited Mandela on Sunday morning to wish him well.
Maharaj appealed to the media and the public to respect the privacy of Mandela and his family.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) calls that in 2011, Mandela was admitted for a chest infection. (NAN)
