The Captain of the Flying Eagles, Abduljaleel Ajagun, was? picked as man of the match, after the team’s 3-1 trouncing of DR Congo in the ongoing Youth Championship in Algeria.
The Flying Eagles Media Officer, Samm Audu, said in a statement in Abuja on Sunday that the Dolphin FC midfielder had also picked man of the match award after their 1-0 victory against Gabon.
The statement added that Ajagun, who was joint top scorer in the qualifying rounds with four goals, had now scored twice in the ongoing championship.
It said that Aminu Umar of Wikki Tourists FC was picked as the Samsung Fair Play Award winner against the backdrop of his brace against DR Congo on Saturday.
Umar bounced back in style after he struggled to find his feet in the opening game against Mali and was replaced by Edafe Egbedi.
Meanwhile, Olanrewaju Kayode scooped the Fair Play Award in the team’s opening group game against Mali.
