Governor Saidu Usman Dakingari of Kebbi State has finally spoken about the alleged N9.6b fraud involving him, declaring vehemently that there was no fraud of such large amount.
Debunking the rumors shortly after the swearing-in of the 17 newly appointed commissioners, Governor Saidu Dakingari publicly declared that, “I personally don’t have such amount of money”.
According to him, with the introduction of e-payment in the state and centralization of signatory of government accounts, it would be difficult for such magnitude of fraud to take place in the state.
He described the allegations as baseless and unfounded and urged people of the state to disregard such rumors.
Governor Saidu Dakingari however, appealed to the political class to stop peddling rumors capable of causing disunity and enmity amongst the people.
He reiterated the determination of the present government to remain focused in providing the necessary infrastructure for the overall development of the state.
On the commissioners, Governor Saidu Dakingari explained that, the re-appointment of majority of them was based on their track records and loyalty in his first tenure.
He charged them to be focused and discharge their duties meticulously.
The commissioners are; Alh. Sani Rukubbolo, Alh. Husaini Raha, Alh. Shehu Sambawa, Alh. Ibrahim Gwandu, Alh. Bello Tuga, Alh. Muhammadu Ruwa, Alh. Magaji Bunza, Alh. Isa Iko, Alh. Bawa Sidi, Alh. Sani Kanya, Alh. Abdullahi Kamba, Alh. Sani Kangiwa, Barr. Boyi Dikko, Prof. M.A Gulma, Mr. Ishaku Daudu, Alh. Rabiu Koko and Hajia Hafsat Ahmad.?
