MediaVision Limited, franchise owners of the Nigeria Bankers Games (NBG) has appointed Youdees Integrated Marketing Services (YISL) as consultants to the 2011 edition of the games which kicks off next Sunday, September 4 at the University of Lagos Sports Complex. NBG is the biggest and best sporting event in corporate Nigeria with a vision to build a durable platform for bankers across the country to relate and build bridges in a competitive, yet friendly atmosphere.
Fela Bank-Olemoh, the Managing Director of MediaVision confirmed that they are securing the services of YISL in the area of media communication as a deliberate strategy to deepen the benefits of the Games to participants, corporate partners and fans who may not have the opportunity to be at the venue. He said the move is also consistent with the company’s promise to make the 2011 edition of the games more exciting. According to the MediaVision boss, “we promised to raise the bankers’ game to greater heights this term to ensure that participants, fans, team sponsors and our corporate partners will reap added value from the experience. It is in line with our strategy to attain this objectives that we have sought out individuals and organisations that will bring value to the Games. This is consistent with as our objective to continuously entrench the Banker’s Games the number one corporate sports events not only in Nigeria but in Africa.”
Bank-Olemoh said the choice of YISL was arrived at after a thorough consideration of the pedigree of its lead project manager. He said, “We took into consideration the rich pedigree of Mr. Harry Iwuala, the lead consultant at YISL in the area of sports events communication and Media relationship management.” Iwuala described the appointment as “a great opportunity for YISL to be part of this unique but premium sports event in the country. I have followed the Nigeria Bankers Games in the last six years and have come to see in the organisers, a team of dedicated and innovative achievers.”
